- weesmile.ca runs on a SmartWebPros template
The current site is built on a stock template the agency uses for many dental practices. The typography is generic and the team page reads like a directory listing instead of a credentials story. Three Certified Specialists deserve a homepage that earns its own keep.
- Doctor bios are buried below the services list
Dr. Payne, Dr. Fraser, and Dr. Weinberger all have specialty certifications worth surfacing. On the current site their bios live below the services scroll, in two-line blurbs. The new design opens with three large doctor portraits at the top of the homepage.
- Hours table loses Wednesday and Thursday detail
The current footer shows a hours table where the lunch break (1pm to 2pm Mon to Thurs) is squished into one cell. New patients cannot tell whether the office is closed midday or just lunching. The new design separates morning and afternoon blocks per day.
- Referral process is unstated for new patients
The site does not explain that a referral from your child family dentist or paediatrician is required for ages 1 to 12. Parents call only to be told to get the referral first. The new design says it on the home page and the contact page.
- The design looks out of date
Customers decide whether to trust a business in under 5 seconds, and they use the website to do it. A dated look makes an excellent business look like it's not paying attention.
- Three doctor portraits on the home page
Dr. Payne, Dr. Fraser, and Dr. Weinberger get a card each with a portrait, certification line, and one-paragraph bio. New parents see who is treating their child before they pick up the phone.
- Real services photography pulled from weesmile.ca
The hygiene chair, orthodontic chair, and special-care chair photos that already live on the current site move into the home page services grid and the services page anchors. No more stock-image-only treatment.
- Hours, lunch break, and Friday-only schedule made obvious
Mon to Thurs 8 to 1 plus 2 to 5. Friday 8 to 1 only. Closed weekends. Each day gets its own colour-coded card. No more guessing whether the office is closed at noon.
- Referral policy stated up front
Both the home page and the contact page say plainly: a referral is required for new patients ages 1 to 12. We accept fax referrals at 519 663 5803 or email at staff@weesmile.ca.
