Fitwell sits in the Highbury Avenue plaza, in unit A3, between the lottery shop and the convenience store. The shop is small, the counter is short, and the tailor is the same person every time.

We do dry cleaning the way it used to be done. Garments are sorted by fabric, pressed by hand, and bagged on real hangers, not the wire ones a chain cleaner ships you out with. Tailoring is the second half of the shop. Hems are pinned on you, in the chair, on a real fitting block. Suits are reshaped, not just shortened.

Wedding gowns get a separate bag and a real inspection report. Tuxedos get a day-before press. Bedlinens, drapes, throw blankets are all in scope.

Things we won't do.

• · Press a wedding gown the day of the wedding without a backup plan.
• · Promise a hem before we've seen you in the trouser.
• · Bag a suit in plastic that strangles the shoulder.
• · Charge before pickup unless rush is requested.
