Since
1951.
What began as a simple ice cream stand quickly became a local tradition. A place where summer nights, first dates, and family memories all happened over soft-serve cones and sundaes.
"Through our store's windows, we serve the finest people in the world. That's how we felt in 1951, and we still feel the same today."
Merla-Mae Ice Cream opened in 1951 as one of London's first dedicated ice cream stands. Over the decades it grew from a seasonal window into a year-round institution, but the things that made it special never changed: real ingredients, handmade recipes, and a genuine warmth that makes every visit feel like coming home.
The stand became more than a dessert stop. It became the setting for first dates and family reunions, birthday celebrations and summer traditions passed down through generations. The people who grew up coming here are now bringing their own kids and grandkids.
We're proud to still serve ice cream the old-fashioned way. Made fresh. Enjoyed outside. Shared with the people who matter most.
