- Lorem-ipsum placeholder text on the homepage
The Special Offers section on northlondonfootcare.ca currently contains “Duo ea homero sense fugit quando”, which is leftover Latin filler text. A medical clinic site should not have visible Latin placeholder copy. Customers see it.
- Two different addresses across pages
The homepage describes the clinic as inside “North Centre Pharmacy, beside Shoe Company”. The footer and Compression page list “Polar iHealth, 94 Fanshawe Park Rd East”. One of them is stale and creates confusion when patients try to find the clinic.
- Gmail email for a medical clinic
Patients sending sensitive health information expect a real domain email (peter@northlondonfootcare.ca, etc.), not a Gmail address. The Gmail signal also hurts trust with referring physicians and facility managers who book contracts.
- Phone format is inconsistent
The site lists “+ 1 ( 226 ) 239-7073 ” with spaces, parens, and a leading plus. Some phone-call apps fail to parse this format. The clean tap-to-call format is just 226-239-7073.
- The design looks out of date
Customers decide whether to trust a business in under 5 seconds, and they use the website to do it. A dated look makes an excellent business look like it's not paying attention.
- WordPress needs constant upkeep
WordPress sites break. Plugins stop working. Security patches pile up. If nobody's maintaining it, it eventually goes down or gets hacked, and you usually find out from a customer.
- Compression as its own dedicated route
/compression-stockings/ in the nav, with the three pressure levels (15-20, 20-30, 30-40 mmHg), the six benefits, the prescription requirement, and the 30-minute fitting appointment all surfaced clearly. Physicians referring patients can link directly to that page.
- Calendly + Phone in the header on every page
Both ways to book (Calendly link + tap-to-call) live in the header of every page. Mobile users tap once for either.
- Posted prices on the homepage
$75 initial in-home, $60-70 follow-up, $80 ToeFX session. All prices visible without scrolling past stock photography. Patients know what to expect before they call.
- Peter's story told properly
The leg injury, the decade of hospital nursing, the decision to start a mobile practice for patients who can't easily leave home. Real, human, lifted verbatim from the existing site.
