★ NOT A WALK-IN VISIT

When to skip the walk-in and go to the ER instead.

  • Suspected stroke, heart attack, severe bleeding, or trouble breathing — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
  • Major fractures, deep wounds requiring sedation, or eye injuries — go to an emergency department.
  • Pediatric emergencies in young infants — call your pediatrician or go to the Children’s Hospital ER.
  • Long-term complex chronic disease management — register with a family physician or specialist clinic.

If you are unsure, call 519-471-1800 first. Reception can route you to the right level of care.
