Things we don't do

When to skip the walk-in.

  • We are not an emergency room. Chest pain, severe shortness of breath, head injuries, severe bleeding, or signs of stroke should go to LHSC University Hospital or call 911.
  • We are not a long-term family practice. We do not roster patients. For continuous family care, ask us about Health Care Connect.
  • We do not perform routine immunizations for infants. Newborn shots go through your family doctor or a public health clinic.
  • We do not do controlled substance refills (narcotics, ADHD stimulants). Please see your prescribing physician.
A note on billing

Walk-in visits are billed to OHIP. Bring your card.

Forms that aren't medically necessary (insurance forms, camp forms, travel letters, sick notes for work) are billed to you privately because they're not covered by OHIP. We post the rate at the front desk and tell you the amount before we sign.
